   Perfect for visiting the town. Rooms are spacy, with a good airconditioning. There is a bus nearby which brings you to the center in 15 minutes.

   Die Sauberkeit, die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Mitarbeiter sind tadellos. Ausserdem liegt das Hotel in einer ruhigen Lage. Das Zentrum ist schnell und fußläufig erreichbar. Bus-(auch zum Flughafen) und Bahnhof liegen etwa 3 bis 10 Geheminuten vom Hotel entfernt. Selbst meinem Kind hat es sehr gut gefallen, da es genug Platz zum spielen und austoben gab.    Posizione strategica per muoversi nel centro di Torino, soprattutto quando finiranno i lavori della stazione di Porta Susa. Accoglienza molto cortese. Amministratore molto disponibile.

   La mancanza del riassetto delle camere la domenica che non è ben evidenziato.

   I'm a serious cyclist, and when I travel my first consideration revolves around this. So I prefer generally a rural locale. On this trip my sisters accompanied me, and they are not cyclists, and as I was planning on riding in the Piemonte region Turin seemed an apt choice. Star Residence was not quite a bed and breakfast - more a nice extended stay hotel. As such they provide exactly the service they claim. The facility is quite nice, modern, safe/secure and with all the amenities one might expect from such an establishment. The staff are congenial and always helpful. I speak passable italian, but most of the staff spoke english at least as well as I carry on in their language. Off street parking within the facility is a blessing, and easily accessed within 50 meters of any room in the building. Their is a very good, very lively market within 2 blocks, and several delightful shops, eateries, bakeries, wine bars, gelato vendors, etc less than 5 minutes walking distance. Several parks are easily accessible that provide running/walking paths, public swimming, and lots of grass for lying about in the shade and reading. The bicycles provided by Star Res. can be really helpful getting to the parks. Make sure you pick up a map of city bicycle paths. (Turin can be a dangerous town if you are not accustomed to riding in traffic.) Downtown and beyond are quickly and easily gotten to by subway and train. Fares for these are universally reasonable, and many of the trains allow you to board with a bicycle if you'd like. We did not use the bus or taxis while there. In short, if you like doing the city-tourist thing Turin is a great place to visit, and Star Residence is a good choice for lodging.

   Internet access is available in the lobby with a shared computer, but using the wireless network requires an extra fee. I'm not familiar with the cost of doing business in Turin, but this in my mind should be included with the cost of the room. Something to consider if, like me, you require daily use of the internet. This is however, a minor annoyance. The only real complaint is the stool one must sit upon to use the shared computer - very cool looking thing, but the most uncomfortable perch I can imagine! Oy - I'm gonna need a chiropractor!

   The staff was completelly kind informing us about the important places to visit. The appartment was a little different from the picture we got because it wasn't as modern as the one we saw but concerning the space, the size of the room and the beds was very good, as we expected.

   It's a little, but just a little, far from the center, 10/15 minuts walking to the first important square, but it's easy to find the way how to arrive to the center, and the opposite ...to the appartment. Above all, it's a very nice nice city to visit walking although you do it from the appartment...Torino should be visit walking and getting the best places, monuments, buildings it gives you.
