   Abbiamo soggiornato nell'appartamento "timo", La struttura è davvero bella (le foto non rendono giustizia, a mio parere), la colazione a buffet è ottima e varia, i gestori,davvero molto disponibili e cordiali, ma mai invadenti, sono stati sempre bendisposti nei nostri confronti. Ci tornerei sicuramente molto volentieri. La vista di cui godevamo era davvero splendida.

   Am schönsten war die Lage der Fabbrica. Mit Blick auf Lucca, sehr ruhig, mitten im Grünen. Abends haben wir die Millionen von Glühwürmchen bestaunt. Die Gastgeber Giovanna und Giuseppe waren sehr nett und unaufdringlich. Wir hatten einen kleinen Hund dabei, das war aber gar kein Problem, auch wenn der mal gebellt hat.

   Wir wussten nicht so recht, wohin wir mit dem Müll sollten. Immerhin waren wir eine ganze Woche dort, aber es war nur ein Müllbeutel vorgesehen. Es wurde uns auch nicht gesagt, wo wir den Müll entsorgen sollten, auf der Fabbrica waren keine Mülltonnen sichtbar. Also haben wir den Müll per Auto im Ort selbst entsorgt und uns Müllbeutel besorgt. Man sollte also nicht vergessen, gleich danach zu fragen.

   I'm in the hospitality business myself, hotel manager and owner of my own restaurant.The value for money at the Fabbrica was more than excellent.The propietors are delightful people producing a delicious wine, be careful.The olive oil is superlative. Great breakfast too. I found this place by chance, I'm going in January just to de-tress after the festive season. True Italian warm welcoming. A little gem.

   The owner -Giovanna - was wonderful. She spoke English and was very helpful. She brought us a fantastic breakfast each morning. The location was beautiful with views of the countryside. You could walk through the olive groves and vineyards. It was very peaceful and private and yet very close to the city.

Farmhouse Fabbrica San Martino welcomes you in a splendid blend of 16th century charm and 21st century comfort.

The manor house, built at the wish of Count Lorenzo Sardi in 1735, is based on the foundations of a rustic structure from the 1500's.

Farmhouse Fabbrica San Martino, located in northwest of Lucca, is surrounded by 20 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and woods, and is rich in ambiance, history and contemporary working life.

The farmer's old house has been carefully renewed as a residence to offer two lovely apartments.

- Il Timo, on the ground floor, is a very comfortable flat (about 120 sq.m) with 2 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom with shower and a large kitchen/dining room with fireplace. Outside there is a private terrace with an amazing view of Lucca center.

- Il Pesco, on the 1st floor, is a very large apartment (about 300 sq.m) with 4 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with shower, a kitchen with fireplace, dining room and reading room with a small bookcase.
In the garden there is a private table to eat outside.

In both the apartments the beds can be converted from twin in a big one or vice versa, and there is the possibility of a further bed.

Timo and Pesco are both provided with TV and hairdryer. Internet connection is possible only with mobile key as there isn't fast connection in the area.

Farmhouse Fabbrica San Martino offers a rich sweet/salty breakfast that we serve in private dining room (each bedroom in fact as its own one).

There is a large open parking area and a swimming-pool (15x7m) open from May 1st until September 30th.

Farmhouse Fabbrica San Martino produces extra virgin olive oil and organic and biodynamic DOC wines available directly in the wine cellar.
