   I've stayed in Palazzo Guinigi previously and this apartment is very tastefully decorated, modern but sympathetic to its historical legacy. The location is great and as the apartment is at the top of the palazzo there are views of the Lucca rooftops and Guinigi Tower. The accommodation and kitchen facilities are excellent and of course if you prefer not to cook there are some excellent restaurants and cafés within a few minutes’ walk of the apartment. The ceiling slopes at one end of the living area and this takes getting used to, but other than that minor reservation I would be very happy to return to Palazzo Guinigi and will likely do so again. And my review wouldn't be complete without mentioning Rita who looks after the apartment and who was extremely welcoming and helped make our stay in Lucca a great experience.

   This was a subtle and tastefully designed apartment which integrated beautifully with its medieval surroundings. Within waliking distance of many cafes, restaurants and foodstores, this is an ideal apartment to spend some time in while exploring Lucca or the delights of Tuscany. The facilities and comfort are excellent and I hope to return again some time in the future.
