   We stayed at Casa San Tomaso for a week in May 2013. The apartment is in a perfect location for visiting all of the attractions in and around Bergamo. We were welcomed by our host, Massimo, who carefully explained everything we needed to know to enjoy our stay. The apartment was immaculately presented and very well equipped. The bed was very comfortable (this is always important!). We especially appreciated the generous welcome pack and the use of a secure garage for our car just a short walk from the apartment, however we had virtually no use for a car while we were in Bergamo. Mostly everything was within walking distance and there is a very good public transport service. There is also a fast train service for a day trip to Milan. Massimo loaned us a portable wifi hotspot device for the duration of our stay so we could have internet access, even when we were on one of our walks in the stunning countryside above San Vigilio! There are great shops just at the end of Via San Tomaso for bread, cheese, wine and fruit and vegetables and there is a Carrefour supermarket just a short distance beyond these shops. We also found it difficult to stay away from the pasticceria with its delicious small quiches - call in and say "Ciao" to Camilla (www.officinadeldolce.com) when you visit this delightful destination.

   Wonderful location, perfectly between Città Alta and Città Bassa, with splendid possibilities to discover the rich architectural and art historic structure and culture of this sympathetic town. Everything close by: shops with marvelous fool as well as restaurants, bus stops, and especially perfect to start by foot. The rooms are very nicely restored, everything very clean and proper.

   In hot summers it might be a bit difficult to accept the traffic on the plastered street below which is rather loud - but not if the windows are closed.

   Felt immediately at "home"! Very nice appartment,lovely restaured with a modern architecture touch. Owners of the appartment are real nice and helpfull.

   The apartment was beautifully decorated and in a lovely old building and had everything you could possibly need. It looks even nicer than on the website and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It is perfectly located between the old and new town and the owners were extremely helpful, going out of their way to make sure I could use the internet during our stay. We would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in Bergamo.

   What an absolute hidden gem of an apartment decorated in a perfect bright, modern style, very fresh and exceptional cleanliness both in and outside the residence. The apartment owners met us on arrival and made time to be sure we were completely satisfied with our accommodation.

   A shame we couldn't stay longer!

   Great location - we very much enjoyed walking around the area – there is so much to see and do nearby - lots of lovely restaurants, the funicular, the old city etc., Also easy access from airport. The apartment contained everything we needed and we appreciated the stylish décor and good quality fittings and furnishings throughout. Friendly and efficient service from apartment owners from initial booking to meeting us on arrival. They provided lots of helpful information. The only negative point was that it was rather hot at night and too noisy to have the front window open because of traffic. We did wonder whether a free standing fan in each room might be an option worth considering?

   Had a very enjoyable stay at casa tomaso, lovely apartment with all the necessary mod cons for a comfortable week. Patrizia and Massimo were very helpful and we were very impressed with the restaurants that they had suggested. Very good and close by public transport made getting to see the area very easy. Even the rain didn't dampen our stay.

   Actually we were upgraded to the sister apartment 'Pelabrocco' - this was a really beautiful apartment in the same area of town as San Tomaso. Bergamo is beautiful and we enjoyed wandering the streets of the upper and lower town. The lower town area that the apartment is in is well served with a bar, pizza cafe, bakery/general store and 'tabbachi' all within 40m of the apartment. The fenicular to the upper town was about 5 minutes easy walk away. The apartment was well equipped, sparkly clean, bright and comfortable. Fixtures and fittings are high end - no 'roughing it' here! The owners met us at the apartment and had left snacks for breakfast the next morning. Would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment and renting from these owners. 10/10!

   Very good accommodation and car parking possibilities. We had everything we needed during our stay with a child (actually, we stayed at Pelabrocco apartment as the owners proposed to upgrade an apartment to the larger one).

   The street was quite noisy during the nights.

   The location was perfect, the owner was very helpful and welcoming, the apartment was spotless and very comfortable and felt safe. I would recommend this property to others and would stay there again.
